How to be a reality tv show contestant: Step one:  Apply to go on a television show, the premise of which is that you must compete with other women to win a random bloke's affections / you are at an authentic holiday camp run by 1960s rules / you must live in a village with 7 sets of 'nightmare neighbours'. Step two:  Complain bitterly to camera that you feel it is beneath you to compete with other women to win some random bloke's affections / your 1960s holiday camp is not as luxurious as the cruise you usually go on / your 'nightmare neighbours' are not fun to live next door to. Step three:  Wander aggrievedly off in search of free lunch.

Kath & Kim Was I the only person in the world who watched this last night? It was the funniest thing I have seen on tv all year. I need to have a conversation that goes something like this: Norah:  Oh my god - and when Kel turned up in his leather pants! Someone:  Oh my god yes!  That was sooooo funny! Norah:  I know! Sell it to me Having politely declined various offers of traditional Saturday night debauchery*, I decide to watch a film. (*I put that bit in so that you would know I do have friends and could have gone out if I'd wanted to.) Nothing in the video store. Nothing I fancy on the shelf at home. Sky movies maybe?  'Raising Helen'?  Never heard of it.  What does the write-up say? 'Carefree career girl Kate Hudson faces the 'joys' parenthood when she looks after her dead sister's kids.  Thank heavens for hunky pastor John Corbett!  Upbeat Comedy.'
